Anna Badgenoone observes the life of a man named James. He belongs to the Challenger Generation, what some refer to as the Boomers. He started life in a dresser drawer, a baby born to a Belgian American war bride. His formative years were developed as an army brat in or near military bases. He came of age in a megalopolis, and followed his dreams in small town America. His journey took him through countless tributaries of a career stream.
He was blessed with good parents, a remarkable extended family, a supportive wife, three beautiful daughters, their husbands, and five inquisitive grandchildren. In the twilight of his years he experienced the surgeon’s blade and was drawn into a new phase of life, one that would prompt him to record the journey.
Along the way, James confronts tormenting demons. As he falls prey to their urging his life is almost shattered. He tries to ameliorate the negative consequences of his actions with a string of good works. His namesake, the disciple James, had provided a template for that as a course of remediation. This James ultimately discovers that faith marks the path to salvation. He learns that love overcomes hate, lasting peace conquers war(s).
