High Water Markers of Elizabeth’s Observee, by Elizabeth Badgenoone
Elizabeth Badgenoone observes the life of a man named Frederick. His mother worked odd jobs to help support a family that his dad was unable to support alone during the Great Depression. Fred was strengthened by his mother’s example. During the course of his lifetime he drew strength from the lessons she provided.
He needed that strength to bring his bomber crew safely back to English landing bases during the Second World War, twenty-five times. It served him well when he assumed the duties of a peace officer in years following the conflict of nations. He witnessed however the conflict of men that wore no uniform.
His story contains graphic examples of those conflicts and the impact that they had on his life and the lives of his loved ones. It also brings focus to the conflict resolution that he was able to discern during the course of his lifetime.
