Novels aren’t the only place where written treasures are hidden in the narrative. Some are revealed in the chapters of a novella or the paragraphs of a short story. My walking buddies and I decided to make a range of written material available to other hikers who frequent the Buffalo Creek Preserve and Trail.
This month the Senior Savvy Trail Tales stories were written and told by Craig Scott. The first is titled “My Father's Hands.” Craig also wrote a second titled "My 1950 Farmall." Both stories bring to life some of the memories he shared during a brisk walk last month.
About - Craig Scott. Craig, a former Pastor of East Cabarrus Church, is currently serving as a Church Planting Missionary at the Central Station Cowboy Church in Midland, NC. A graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Craig graduated from Appalachian State University Major - Media Advertising, Minors in English and Marketing. He graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. We dedicated a Little Free Library at the trail head and committed to supplying a short story each month to a local paper, the Senior Savvy. The stories appear in a column - Trail Tales.
