I had an opportunity to participate in an online writers conference last week, attending a session on the "Art of Memoir" hosted by the North Carolina Writers' Network. ![]() Novels aren’t the only place where written treasures are hidden in the narrative. Some are revealed in the chapters of a novella, the paragraphs of a short story, or the flow of a poem. My walking buddies and I decided to make a range of written material available to other hikers who frequent the Buffalo Creek Preserve and Trail. The Trail Tales article posted this month was written by Laura L. Zimmerman. Titled, "Sugar Rush", the story recalls childhood memories, and delivers a refreshing message during these interesting times that are consumed with news about COVID restrictions. About - Laura L.
